Jesuit Founders Scholarship

In 1870 Canisius opened its doors because of the faith and tenacity of a handful of Jesuit priests who came to Buffalo to establish a Catholic school. Over the ensuing 150 years, hundreds of Jesuits have labored to share their talents and passion for education with the young men they served.

This year we virtually celebrate the 150th anniversary of Canisius by honoring those Jesuits who've dedicated their lives to teaching the young men of Buffalo. Their commitment to the pursuit of excellence in all things has guided the school throughout its history.

We look to the future and to continuing the legacy of excellence for our students by initiating the Jesuit Founders Scholarship. The financial assistance this scholarship will provide will ensure that students with financial need will have the opportunity for a Jesuit education.
