Brotherhood is an interesting thing, isn’t it? An eternal bond between men that spans from adolescence through adulthood.
In my 18 years, I’ve been lucky enough to have two forms of brotherhood: one bonded to me by blood and many bonded to me through shared experience. My gratitude for my older brother is immeasurable, and I have been proud to watch him as he graduated from St. Joe’s and most recently from the University of Vermont. Equally impactful has been the support, patience, and encouragement of the community I have come to know and love as family over the past few years.
Like family, we overcome turbulence. Like family, we build each other up. Like family, we may not always like each other, but we always love one another.
It’s truly a shame that only six members of our senior class could be selected for this honor because apart from the five admirable nominees alongside me, I can think of so many candidates who deserve recognition for their hard work, leadership, and personability. To the rest of my brothers, your labors do not go unnoticed.
Thank you to the Canisius family for the generous opportunities and thank you for the legacy of brotherhood that will follow me throughout all that I do.
AMDG,
Evan
