Construction begins on Madden Center for Global Learning
Keith McShea

When the bold vision begins to come to fruition: Check out a view from across the street in our Advancement Office at 1193 Delaware Ave., which shows construction starting today on the very project described in the mounted graphic on the wall: The Madden Center for Global Learning.

With a modern architectural design and a prominent location between the Koessler Academic Center and the Beecher Academic Wing, the Madden Center for Global Learning will provide a programmatic experience to enhance and promote learning by connecting students with fellow Jesuit institutions, Canisius alumni and other learning opportunities worldwide. The center is expected to be completed in 2023.

The building and funding of the center is being supported by the largest gift of our recent "Rich Tradition. Bold Vision." capital campaign, that of $2.5 million by Michael Madden ’67.

That capital campaign also included the expansion of our Stransky Complex on Clinton Street, where CHS Baseball opened its 2023 season last week with its first-ever game at beautiful Coppola Family Field.

Students interested in the academic, artistic and athletic excellence only found in a Jesuit education at Canisius can learn more at canisiushigh.org and by attending our Spring Open House on Sunday, April 30.

This place is special. Let us show you why.
