The silent auction runs through Saturday night, when hundreds will gather at CHS for the 50th anniversary edition of GAMBIT. Our signature fundraising event will have great food & drink, special presentations and a thrilling live auction that is for attendees only.

Finalists announced for 2025 Mr. Canisius award

This year's six finalists have been announced for the Mr. Canisius Award, which is presented annually to the graduating senior who, in the estimation of his peers, epitomizes all that Canisius stands for.

Teacher Craig Hinchcliffe reflects on CHS trip to Italy and a historic Easter Sunday

“It was a pretty moving experience. … It was pretty surreal.”

Craig Hinchcliffe and several students spoke Wednesday about the CHS educational trip to Italy over Easter Break, which culminated in the group being part of a historical moment: Pope Francis’ final public appearance as he said “Buona Pasqua” – Happy Easter – and blessed those gathered in St. Peter’s Square on Easter Sunday.

“He was a Jesuit who knew and loved Jesus deeply,” said CHS President Fr. David Ciancimino, S.J. “Francis was a faithful servant of the Gospel who remained close to the people whom Jesus would be close to in our own time. He consistently called us all to greater mercy and compassion.”
