Day of Giving 2021
By Ken Liszewski '10

During a 24-hour Day of Giving on Thursday, May 27, the Canisius community united to raise a record-breaking $146,000 from 345 donors! New for Canisius' global day of philanthropy this year was a $100,000 matching gift challenge courtesy of Michael Madden ’67. Several alumni, faculty, staff, and current and future Crusaders also created Day of Giving videos which premiered throughout the day. In the videos they shared their personal stories to help inspire giving.

Part of the fun during Canisius Day of Giving is the alumni competitions. At the end of the day, the class of 1967 led the class leaderboards in both total number of donors and amount raised.

This year's Canisius Day of Giving was an outstanding day for the entire Canisius community and especially for current and future students. All the funds raised will be used to directly support students. Thank you to all who rose to the challenge and made this year’s Day of Giving the best one yet!
