CHS and Jesuits East are collaborating on a webinar next week entitled "Jesuit Journeys: Formed at Canisius, Called to a Jesuit Vocation." 

Three Jesuits in formation – Alec Hufford, S.J., Luke Olsen, S.J., and Mitchell Tu, S.J. – will be joined by CHS Director of Campus Ministry Fr. Chuck Frederico, S.J., to discuss how their service at CHS sharpened their call and prepared them for a life of mission, prayer and community in the Society of Jesus.

Finalists announced for 2025 Mr. Canisius award

This year's six finalists have been announced for the Mr. Canisius Award, which is presented annually to the graduating senior who, in the estimation of his peers, epitomizes all that Canisius stands for.

Teacher Craig Hinchcliffe reflects on CHS trip to Italy and a historic Easter Sunday

“It was a pretty moving experience. … It was pretty surreal.”

Craig Hinchcliffe and several students spoke Wednesday about the CHS educational trip to Italy over Easter Break, which culminated in the group being part of a historical moment: Pope Francis’ final public appearance as he said “Buona Pasqua” – Happy Easter – and blessed those gathered in St. Peter’s Square on Easter Sunday.

“He was a Jesuit who knew and loved Jesus deeply,” said CHS President Fr. David Ciancimino, S.J. “Francis was a faithful servant of the Gospel who remained close to the people whom Jesus would be close to in our own time. He consistently called us all to greater mercy and compassion.”
