Nate Pantano '25, Giacomo Pili '25 named JSN Award winners
Keith McShea

During our 155th Commencement Exercises, an early portion of the ceremony was dedicated to special graduation honors, including:

The Jesuit Schools Network Award, which was presented to Nathanial Pantano ’25 (top) and Giacomo Pili ’25.

The Jesuit Schools Network Award was established in 1985 by the Jesuit Secondary Education Association, a national organization now representing 90 Jesuit schools in the United States and Canada.

We present this award annually to two members of the graduating class. These specially selected seniors best exemplify the Ignatian ideal of well-rounded individuals who are intellectually competent, open to growth, religious, loving and committed to doing justice in generous service to the people of God – true Men for Others.

President Fr. David Ciancimino, S.J., presented the awards during the ceremony before a capacity gathering in Scaccia Auditorium.

Throughout the coming weeks, we will continue to look back at this most special day for the Class of 2025.

Students and families interested in the excellence only found in a Jesuit education at Canisius – ranked as the Buffalo area’s “Best Catholic School” by Business First – can learn more by arranging an on-campus experience via canisiushigh.org/visit

This place is special. Let us show you why.

Requiescat in Pace, Joseph Scully ’50

We mourn the loss of Joe Scully, a most devoted supporter of Canisius High School who dedicated himself to his alma mater over five decades. The longtime national sales manager was a recipient of our John Barnes Award and the CHS Service Award. He was 92.
