What a night!
Canisius High School hosted its first ever virtual GAMBIT event on Saturday night, March 20 and it was an event not to be missed. (Although if you did miss it, you can click here to watch the replay!)
Highlights of the night included Fr. Richard Zanoni, S.J. sharing stories about the Jesuits he’s known at Canisius over the years. Several of our students and teachers talked about the new House System at Canisius and how it is helping to strengthen the sense of community within the school. Solomon Lian ’21 told of his experience as a young man originally from Myanmar who is growing and learning every day through his opportunity to attend Canisius, made possible by our generous donors.
Our generous donors raised more than $79,000 for the Jesuit Founders Scholarship during GAMBIT to help ensure future students like Solomon have access to a quality, Jesuit education at Canisius. You can still help us reach the $100,000 goal for the scholarship and make a big difference by funding the future of a Canisius student! Click here to add your gift to the scholarship fund.
The people of the Canisius community – those who bid on auction items, donated items, raised their virtual paddles, bought raffle tickets, sponsored or volunteered for the event, served as a co-chair, or helped in some other way – make GAMBIT, and everything we do at Canisius, possible. Canisius is going strong after 150 years because of YOU! Thank you for your continued support.
