P.S. 45 The International School

Herman Badlilo Community School (where we were greeted by math teacher Mike Kwiatkowski ’99)

Faculty met in the morning prior to their service and gathered for reflections on their experiences in sessions facilitated by Adam Baber ’01, Director of Service and Justice at McQuaid Jesuit in Rochester.

Families interested the unique experiences offered through the CHS Campus Ministry program and the excellence only found in a Jesuit education at Canisius can learn more by reserving a spot at our Spring Open House on April 27 via canisiushigh.org/openhouse

This place is special. Let us show you why.

Teacher Craig Hinchcliffe reflects on CHS trip to Italy and a historic Easter Sunday

“It was a pretty moving experience. … It was pretty surreal.”

Craig Hinchcliffe and several students spoke Wednesday about the CHS educational trip to Italy over Easter Break, which culminated in the group being part of a historical moment: Pope Francis’ final public appearance as he said “Buona Pasqua” – Happy Easter – and blessed those gathered in St. Peter’s Square on Easter Sunday.

Requiescat in Pace, Pope Francis

“He was a Jesuit who knew and loved Jesus deeply,” said CHS President Fr. David Ciancimino, S.J. “Francis was a faithful servant of the Gospel who remained close to the people whom Jesus would be close to in our own time. He consistently called us all to greater mercy and compassion.”
