Crusaders Roundup 2/9/21

The Crusaders started their week with a 3-0 sweep against Park. Michael Dobrasz ‘21 bowled the highest game with a 208. Later in the week, the team lost a tough match to O’Hara, losing 3-0.

Now, the Crusaders’ overall record stands at 5-7. They take on St. Joe’s and Timon this week.


Canisius defeated Nichols to improve their record to 2-0. The squad has a busy week coming up, as they take on St. Joe’s once and Nichols twice.


Canisius swept St. Joe's in the pool by taking first place in all the events in a head-to-head meet at the Tonawanda Aquatic Center on Saturday. Maxim Kruglov '21, Evan Maynard '21, Christian Wilson '22, and Henry Weimer '22 earned first place in the 200 medley relay. Matthew Woyksnar '22 won the 200 freestyle, Kruglov the 200 IM, Weimer the 50 free, Wilson the 100 butterfly, Woyksnar the 100 free, Jaxon Bruzgul '24 the 500 free, Sean Grace '21, Weimer, Bruzgul, and Woyksnar the 200 free relay, Kruglov the 100 backstroke, Maynard the 100 breaststroke, and Wilson, Grace, Kruglov, and Woyksnar the 400 free relay.

Additionally, other Crusader teams and individual swimmers finished in second place in all but two events. Watch the replay of the livestream here.
