Crusaders Roundup 10/12/20

The Crusaders opened their season with a 4-1 win over St. Mary’s. Owen Jerge ‘21, Rehn Pielechowski ‘21, Victor Mazzara ‘22, and Ermyes Aman ‘22 each scored a goal in the match while Jerge, Jack Fuchs ‘22 and Dante Cotroneo ‘22 each recorded an assist.

The squad looks to build off of their first win this week against St. Francis, St. Joe’s, and Timon.


Canisius defeated St. Mary’s 207-209 to start their week. Will Scherrer ‘21 shot a 36, even par. In their next contest, Finn Bluemle ‘21 and Alex Bakshi ‘21 led their team to a 216-229 victory over St. Francis. To finish their excellent week, the Crusaders defeated Timon 191-217. Scherrer, Bluemle, Bakshi, and Ryan Coyne ‘21 all shot in the 30s in the round.

The team is now 5-0 as they compete in All-Catholics and take on St. Mary’s, Nichols, St. Francis, and St. Joe’s in a very busy week.

Cross Country

The Crusaders defeated both O’Hara and Timon 15-50 this week to kick off their season. They look to continue their solid start against Nichols, St. Mary’s, and Williamsville North this week.
