Canisius Carolers in 2020

Three Canisius seniors and a 2020 graduate found a way to bring a little joy to some Western New Yorkers during the pandemic at Christmastime.

The West Falls Center for the Arts has been unable to host its twice monthly Memory Cafe which typically features lunch and a concert for caregivers and their loved ones with dementia or Alzheimer's. So, Andrew Skakal '21, Michael Dobrasz '21, Michael Zafuto '21 and Santino Panzica '20 took the show on the road. They spent time practicing their harmonies on Christmas carols, and then drove all over Western New York to sing (wearing masks) outside the homes of those who would typically come to the Memory Cafe. Some in the audience even joined in the singing. Watch the clip below.
