Alex Setteducati ’20 (top left) and Andrew Mangan '18 traveled to Toronto April 13-14 for the Canadian Spinal Research Organization’s Shoot for a Cure (SFAC) campaign. SFAC is a fundraising effort that aims to reduce the incidence of spinal cord injuries and neurotrauma in sports, as well as to fund research to find a cure for paralysis caused by spinal cord injuries. Alex was one of the SFAC top fundraisers and Andrew was an honorary team captain.

Andrew learned to walk again after suffering a spinal cord injury (SCI) in December 2016. Alex’s interest in SCI research developed further after his cousin suffered an accident earlier this year and, like Andrew, is slowly learning to walk again.

Several of the actors from the 1977 cult classic film Slap Shot played in the tournament.
