The Canisius High School Science Olympiad team earned eight medals at a regional event at Buffalo State College on February 2. The Crusaders competed against teams from dozens of other schools from around Western New York. 

Evan Popat ’20 and Owen Huber ’20 built a car powered by a mousetrap mechanism and took the overall first place medal. Other Canisius students who won medals include Tiowa Adegboyega ’21, Josiah Borgstede ’20, Joe Dopkin ’19, Mike Dobrasz ’21, Aidan Doyle ’19, Mike Graziano ’20, Layth Khan ’20, Tyler Lucia ’21, Cory Margarucci ’20, Oscar Neil ’20, James Oh ’20, Lucas Perez ’19, Alex Popat ’19, Sam Sullivan ’20, and Aidan Zamorski ’19.
