Two Canisius High School alumni who are currently involved with professional baseball visited Canisius for a baseball clinic on Saturday.

Fran Riordan '93 is the new manager of the Oakland Athletics Triple-A affiliate, the Nashville Sounds. He was promoted to the organization's Triple-A team during the off-season after managing the A's Double-A team, the Midland RockHounds, last season and leading the team to a Texas League title

Dan Dallas '16 is a left-handed pitcher who was drafted in the seventh round by the San Diego Padres in June 2016. He is pitching in the Padres minor league system.

The two baseball pros returned to their alma mater to led their expertise to current Crusaders. The Canisius baseball clinic was for freshmen interested in trying out for the team this spring. The weather was unusually warm for January the day of the clinic, and as a result the players were able to work out and conduct drills outside on Tripi Field.
