The Canisius High School community gathered in the school auditorium for its annual Mass of the Holy Spirit on Friday, September 7. The Mass is a longstanding tradition within Jesuit education. It's usually celebrated within the first week of school. The Mass serves to bless the students and faculty as they head into the new year.
This year’s Mass was highlighted by the use of the school’s new sceptre - a gift from the class of 2017 - to bless the newly elected class president, Alex Popat '19, and vice president, Kyhir Turnage '19. The Mass also celebrated the diversity of the Canisius High School student body, and showcased the skills of its many artists and musicians.
May the Canisius Community be blessed with further success, be it in the classroom, the playing field, or in service to our community.
