Canisius Wins Supremacy Cup

For a sixth consecutive year, Canisius High School has won the Monsignor Martin Athletic Association's Supremacy Cup for the league's large schools. This is Canisius' 12th Cup in the last 13 years. The Supremacy Cup is awarded annually to the Monsignor Martin Athletic Association school that has the most successful overall athletic programs.

The Canisius football, volleyball, federation hockey, swim and tennis teams all won regular season and/or playoff titles. The Canisius swim relay team won a Federation championship. Crusaders cross country, soccer and basketball all won or shared regular season titles.

The Canisius rugby team finished third in the state tournament. Canisius crew also had a good season with three boats qualifying for the U.S. scholastic championship finals, plus two golds and a silver at the Canadian scholastic championships. The squash team won its league and earned a national championship in its division.

Congratulations to the coaches and student-athletes. Their hard work and commitment has led to these successes.
