"110 in the Shade" starring Canisius High School student actors and musicians took the Canisius auditorium stage on March 8, 9 and 10. The show is set in 1936 in the southwestern United States during a drought. The CHS Drama Guild's production of the musical by Harvey Schmidt, Tom Jones and N. Richard Nash also featured performances by young women from local high schools.
Brendan Leong '19 played Bill Starbuck, who claimed to be a "rainmaker."
Aidan Wood '19 starred in the role of File, the local sheriff.
The show featured lively numbers with the full ensemble.
Canisius student musicians performed with the orchestra. Other Canisius students helped in behind-the-scenes roles including stage managing, lighting, sound, poster design and set construction.
