Varsity Football

Canisius is Western New York’s premier academic and athletic college preparatory institution for high school students. With two artificial turf fields, a state-of-the-art weight room, and a video room, Canisius has made a commitment to provide students with many resources to strengthen their bodies and minds. As a top-ranked program in New York State and a program that is recognized as one of the best in the United States, the Canisius football program has thrived thanks to the contributions of young men who became Crusaders. Our football brotherhood is also comprised of a great network of successful individuals that share a special bond. Our school’s Jesuit education and our program’s winning tradition of excellence will provide players with the best preparation for college and for life. The Canisius football program has had great success in obtaining football scholarships and grants-in-aid opportunities at all NCAA levels for our students, including to places such as Alabama, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Dartmouth, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Pittsburgh, Penn State, Rutgers, Temple, UCLA, Wake Forest, and West Point (Army). Furthermore, many of our players, because of their hard work and excellence in the classroom in addition to the football field, have obtained academic scholarships and aid to prestigious schools such as Boston College, Canisius, Colgate, Cornell, Georgetown, John Carroll, Notre Dame, and Princeton. It's a great time to be a Crusader!
