Scholar Athletes Winter 2019-2020

19 Canisius student-athletes are honored for their work in school and for their teams.


Two Canisius High School student-athletes have been named Section VI Scholar Athletes for the 2019-2020 winter sports season. The winners are Dan Sippel '20 of the Canisius varsity federation hockey team and Chris Heitzhaus '20 (pictured above with bowling coach Mike Kwiatkowski '99)of the Canisius varsity bowling team.

To be eligible for consideration for Scholar Athlete honors, students must be high school seniors, carry an overall grade point average of 90 or above for seven semesters, and be a starter or important reserve for his team.
