Class Gift from the Class of 1973
Did you know that Canisius High School is one of only a few Jesuit educational institutions in the United States without a prominent statue of either their patron Jesuit or St. Ignatius Loyola?
Many Jesuit high schools and colleges have a statue in a central location on campus that serves as inspirational rally point for students to celebrate the many milestones of a school year (graduation, big games, annual traditions, etc.). It is a physical reminder for everyone who spends time on campus of our call to be Men and Women For and With Others, and to Pursue Excellence in our daily lives.
Canisius has long desired to join their brother and sister schools in celebration of Jesuit education with a statue. The Class of 1973 has agreed to bring this vision to life with a gift of $80,000 in support of this goal.
Upon completion, the statue will recognize the generosity of the Class of 1973 and inspire future Crusaders for generations to come.
