The first Case for Canisius event in 2021 helped raise $25,000 for the HardyMendez Fund, created by Dan Mendez ’90 (far left ) and Michael Hardy ’96 (fourth from left ) to provide four-year scholarships to outstanding students without the financial means to attend the school. About the HardyMendez Fund
The HardyMendez Fund was created by Canisius alums Michael Hardy ’96 and Dan Mendez ’90. Both Michael and Dan faced difficult childhoods, and were only able to attend Canisius High School through the generosity of alumni. In an effort to provide the same life-changing opportunity they were given, Michael and Dan created the HardyMendez Fund.
