NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR FALL 2021 FOR BOTH FRESHMEN AND TRANSFER STUDENTS

Canisius welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds, those with unique talents and perspectives who are willing to challenge themselves.

Each application is evaluated on an individual basis. Admission decisions are made on the basis of:

  • Performance on the Entrance Exam
  • Past educational performance:
    • Grades
    • Standardized testing results
    • Conduct
    • Attendance

FRESHMAN APPLICANTS:

  • We accept applications throughout the year.
  • Acceptance letters, academic scholarships, and/or tuition grants are typically mailed to applicants in late January with enrollment information.
  • If you applied after the January notification period, acceptance and enrollment information is sent on a rolling basis. 

A complete application for ninth grade includes the following:

  • Completed standardized application.
  • Transcripts/grades from grades 6, 7, and (minimally) the first quarter of grade 8. Please note there is a particular focus on core subject areas such as mathematics, English, science, reading, and history/social studies.
  • Entrance exam results.
  • Standardized testing results.
  • Writing sample (obtained when student takes the Entrance and Scholarship Exam.)
