Crusader For The Day
Our Crusader for the Day program gives 8th, 9th or 10th grade students interested in exploring Canisius High School the chance to experience daily school life firsthand. During their visit, students attend classes, meet and interact with teachers, staff, and other CHS students, have lunch, and experience the excellence of our school community.
Scholarship and Placement Exam Tutorial Course
A three-session course designed to help 8th grade boys prepare and achieve success on the Scholarship and Placement Exam. Classes are small with a focus on individual attention.

Scholarship and Placement Exam for the Class of 2031
Candidates for admission to 9th grade at Canisius must take the Scholarship and Placement Exam and complete the WNY Catholic School application form which serves as registration for the exam.

Tuition Assistance
Candidates for admission to 9th grade for the Class of 2031 can submit applications for tuition assistance through FACTS from November 1st through December 15th. Applications submitted after the deadline may not be processed in time for the January admission notification period.
Class of 2031 Acceptance Notifications
Applicants are notified of their acceptance January 21, 2027
This is the earliest acceptance notification date. Candidates will be notified on a rolling basis after this date.
Registration for the Class of 2031
Accepted students are encouraged to officially reserve their place for fall 2027 by registering on one of the following dates:

Seventh Grade Practice Exam
Boys currently in 7th grade are invited to take a version of the high school entrance exam for practice.
The practice exam helps students become familiar with the exam format under actual testing conditions. There is NO COST for the practice exam, and it is open to all 7th grade boys.
The practice exam will be offered on these dates:
- Saturday, March 6, 2027, 9:00 a.m. - noon
- Saturday, April 10, 2027, 9:00 a.m. - noon
