Canisius High School is offering two workshops this summer for boys entering 6th and 7th grades:

  • Video Game Design & Animation Workshop
  • Robotics Workshop

Video Game Design & Animation Workshop

When: 2018 dates to be announced soon

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Where: Canisius High School’s state-of-the-art digital media arts lab
For Whom: Boys entering 6th and 7th grades

Do you like Minecraft? Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros.? Have you ever thought of creating and designing your own video games?

If so, you will love the Canisius High School Video Game Design & Animation Workshop, where participants have the opportunity to explore the world of video game design while building and developing new skills.

The Canisius High School Video Game Design & Animation Workshop is an introduction to video game design, art, animation, and programming. During this camp students will learn and use basic computer programming and art skills to design, build, demonstrate, and play simple video games. Participants will work in Stencyl, and will learn basic gameplay design, computer programming, and utilize computer applications to create game graphics, interface art, and simple animation.

Robotics Workshop

When: 2018 dates to be announced soon
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Where: Canisius High School’s state-of-the-art digital media arts lab
For Whom: Boys entering 6th and 7th grades

  • Enrollment for each workshop is limited. Sign up by completing the form below.
  • Instructors: Mr. Eric Amodeo ’94 (Director of Academic Technology); Mr. Bill Blenk (Digital Media Arts Instructor)
  • Cost: $200 per workshop
