Learning Lab

At Canisius High School, we are committed to helping every student reach his fullest academic potential.  To support this goal, instructors in our Learning Lab provide after school, small-group tutoring in the core content areas of English, Math, and Science.

Tutoring sessions are held Monday through Thursday from 3:00-3:30 p.m. and provide a focused setting for students to strengthen their skills, review challenging concepts, and reinforce what they are learning in class.  A detailed tutoring schedule is posted throughout the school for students' reference.

Learning lab can be scheduled or utilized on a drop-in basis.  If a student is assigned to Learning Lab, his school counselor will typically coordinate the schedule to ensure consistent and balanced academic support.

This program reflects our Jesuit tradition of cura personalis, which means care of the whole person, by meeting students where they are and helping them grow in confidence, discipline, and academic success.
