Learning Lab
Learning Lab is a Title 1 funded tutoring program that runs both before school and after school. Title 1 refers to the amended title 1, part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965. As a result of this legislation, local educational institutions that meet certain criteria are issued grant money that can be used to “provide all children [with] a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education…” Through this grant, we are able to provide supplemental instruction in the areas of English, math, science and general study skills. Learning Lab is open Monday through Wednesday afternoons from the end of classes until 3:30 pm. The Learning Lab room is located in 2W5.

If a student is required to attend Learning Lab, as decided by his guidance counselors, it is important that he attend regularly and treat his Learning Lab time as an appointment.
