Job Outline
For a position to begin in the 2026-27 academic year, Canisius is seeking an experienced and talented educator who is inspired by the school’s mission and its students, and who is eager to further enhance its legacy of excellence in the formation of young men.
The ideal candidate should be a competent professional with in-depth knowledge of the subject matter, an openness to growth, a commitment to the art and craft of teaching, and an understanding of professional boundaries and appropriate conduct.
In addition to having excellent written and verbal communication skills, an attractive candidate will also meet the following criteria:
• Bachelor’s degree in education, Spanish, or a closely related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
• High school teaching experience is preferred.
• Strong organizational and classroom management abilities.
• Developed interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in a team environment.
• Enthusiasm for the work of education in a Catholic, Jesuit context.
• Must be available to start in August 2026.
• Competitive salary commensurate with experience in a range of $35,000 to $60,000.
