Canisius High School gathered as a community on Tuesday to celebrate the accomplishments of the school's graduating seniors. Students, parents of senior students and other invited guests filled the auditorium. The event culminated with the presentation of the Mr. Canisius Award. The audience cheered as principal Ms. Andrea Tyrpak-Endres announced that Caleb Blodgett is Mr. Canisius 2017. Click here to watch the video and read Caleb's reflection on his time at Canisius.

Other highlights included the presentation of ROTC scholarships. Ryan Tierney '17 and Ryan Ress '17 (pictured at top) accepted awards from the U.S. Air Force. A representative from the U.S. Navy presented Matt Roche '17 (pictured below) with a Navy ROTC scholarship.


Davon Hardy '17 (pictured below) was honored with a youth leadership award by the Western New York chapter of the National Federation for Just Communities.


Matthew Taboni '17 (pictured below) won a Prudential Spirit of Community Award for his service work, including his effort in organizing a gala that raised money for the construction of a handicap-accessible playground at a Heritage Centers school.


The assembly also included presentations from clubs, campus ministry, and Magis Awards which honor students who display true passion and love for academic subjects.
