The Response to Love Center in Buffalo honored Ray Nowicki '72 at its annual auction and gala on June 15, 2017 at the Millennium Hotel in Cheektowaga. Ray received a special award recognizing his outstanding service to the Response to Love Center over the years. Ray has served the center since the 1990s by providing assistance in managing the organization's finances and budgets. He has also served on the Response to Love Center's board of directors.

The Response To Love Center focuses on the holistic treatment of poverty: loving care of the economically deprived, the spiritually poor, the emotionally battered, the isolated, the wounded and the broken.

Several Canisius High School students assisted at the gala, serving as ushers and runners. Ray is pictured above with Matt Margeson '19 (left) and Gabriel Schultz '19.
