Crusader For A Day
What does a Crusader For The Day do?
A participant in the Crusader For The Day Program spends the day accompanying a freshman or sophomore through his daily schedule. Visitors go to advisement, attend classes, have lunch, meet faculty, hang out with other CHS students, and get a first-hand glimpse at what makes the school so special.
How are Crusaders For The Day matched up?
Crusaders For The Day are encouraged to spend the day with a friend or family member who currently attends CHS. If no such connections exist though, the Admission team matches each visitor with someone who has similar interests. And, even though a Crusader For The Day may not know anyone when he arrives, he certainly will know many students and teachers by the time he leaves!
Not 100% sure if Canisius is an option?
No worries. All families are encouraged to schedule visit days for their sons, regardless of where they are in the high-school selection process. These days can be quite impactful. They often provide those who may be “on the fence” with the experience necessary to make an informed decision.
What if I am interested in transferring to Canisius?
Excellent. Transfer students are always welcome and encouraged to become Crusader For The Day visitors.

Please note that grammar schools sometimes send all of their students to visit CHS on a particular day, so check with your school first to see if such a group day has been planned.
Crusader For The Day visits are usually scheduled during the fall, but may be arranged at any time during the year by calling ahead. The Admission team can be reached via email or by phone at (716) 200-0205.
