HAP 2009
June 29 - July 28, 2009
The Canisius High School Higher Achievement Program (HAP) is for boys who have just completed the 7th grade. HAP is a structured program designed to keep the mind sharp over the summer!
| | A great blend of academics and activities occur each day during this outstanding five-week program. HAP students are taught English, reading, and math each morning, reviewing material learned in 7th grade and advancing to material that may be covered in the beginning of 8th grade. Material appearing on the Catholic High School Admissions Exam is also covered in depth.
Higher Achievement Program participants are also automatically enrolled in the Canisius High School Entrance Exam Tutorial Course at no extra charge!
| | Minds aren't the only thing getting a workout! Athletics and activities are an integral part of the program, and HAP participants actively engage in some form of athletic activity each and every day: baseball, basketball, touch football, street hockey, soccer, handball, and volleyball. There are also a number of different electives to choose from, such as weight training, swimming, computers, golf, photography, chess, and the HAP newspaper just to name a few. | | | | Throw in field trips on Fridays to places like Darien Lake, Laser Tron, Griffis Sculpture Park or the Niagara Climbing Center, and the HAP students always have busy weeks!
Financial assistance is available for students who may have difficulty affording the program fee. Bison Fund students are automatically eligible for financial assistance.
| Every year HAP fills up fast, so reserve your spot today!
