Shadow Program
8th grade boys are most welcome to spend a day at Canisius shadowing. Shadowing at Canisius is a great way for interested students to get a real sense of what life at Canisius is really like.
Even if you are just considering Canisius as a possibility for high school, you are encouraged to spend the day shadowing.

What does a shadow do?
An 8th grade participant in our Shadow Program spends the day accompanying a freshman or sophomore through his daily schedule. Shadows go to advisement, attend classes, have lunch, meet faculty, meet and hang out with other CHS students, and just see what we are all about!
To arrange a shadow day visit, interested 8th grade students should have a parent / guardian call the Admissions Office to schedule a shadow day. Grammar schools often send all of their students to shadow at Canisius on one day, so please check with your school first to see if any group day has been planned. Shadow visits are usually scheduled during the fall, but may be arranged at any time during the year by calling ahead.
Shadows are encouraged to spend the day with a friend who attends CHS. If you don't know anyone who goes here - don't worry. We will match you up with someone who has similar interests. You will have a GREAT DAY!!! Even if you don't know anyone when you arrive, you will know many CHS students and teachers by the time you leave!
Interested transfer students are also encouraged to arrange a shadow day! Call the Admissions Office today!
