**SHADOW DAYS

8th Graders visit Canisius

8th graders have the opportunity to spend a day at Canisius attending classes and experiencing the excellence of the Canisius community. Contact the Admissions Office to reserve a spot!

Scheduled days include:

September: 28, 29, 30
October: 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 13, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30
November: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13

Students wishing to arrange a Shadow Day after November 13 should contact the Admissions Office for alternate dates.

**OPEN HOUSE

Visit Canisius and tour our campus, including our brand new, state-of-the-art Math and Science building and Field House.  Meet our faculty, students and coaches.  Learn about our college preparatory curriculum, our outstanding service program, our highly regarded athletic program, and the many co-curricular activities in which our students participate.

**ENTRANCE EXAM PREP COURSE

The Entrance Exam Prep Course is open to 8th grade boys interested in preparing for the Catholic High School Entrance and Scholarship Examination.  Class sizes are small with a focus on individual attention.  Students review concepts in English, mathematics and reading comprehension, as well as test-taking strategies. 

The Prep Course occurs on the three Saturdays prior to the exam:
Saturday, October 31
Saturday, November 7
Saturday, November 14

Students will be scheduled to take one subject per session, from 9:00am - 11:30am.

The cost of the program is $60.  The fee includes the cost of each session and the required textbook (ARCO High School Entrance Exam Preparation Guide).

HAP students are automatically enrolled in the Entrance Exam Prep Course at no additional cost.

**ENTRANCE AND SCHOLARSHIP EXAMINATION

The Entrance and Scholarship Examination will be administered at Canisius High School for all students interested in applying to Canisius for the Fall of 2010.  Students should take the exam at their first choice school.  Students attending public schools should contact the Office of Admissions to receive an application.  The cost of the exam is $20.
